[ECDC Announce] Obama's Speech Party Thursday August 28th

Hello All,

 

Kristy Mundt, President of the East County Democratic Club, has arranged for
us to watch Barack Obama's historic acceptance speech in Denver on Thursday,
August 28th. ECDC along with other East County Democratic Clubs join
together to eat some great Mexican food, maybe down a few margaritas, and
cheer on our next President! Thanks to Kristy for taking the lead on this
effort. As you know, there are events planned in the North, Central, and
South Regions---we should have one too! (This was plagiarized from Linda
Armacost's e-mail to the LMFDC and I would like to thank her for that and
apologize to all the people who saw Linda's original already.)

Why would you want to sit home alone or with just your family and watch
Obama's acceptance speech, when you could get together with other likeminded
people and feel the excitement of HISTORY being made? 

 

This is our SUPER BOWL!!! 

 

We will be gathering at HACIENDA restaurant in El Cajon.

 

 

Most of you should remember this restaurant as ANTONIO'S HACIENDA!!

The address is 700 N. Johnson Ave. It is across the street from Parkway
Plaza at the corner of Johnson and Arnele. I'm not sure what time the speech
is scheduled for, but I believe it will be at 5PM (our time). I will let
everyone know if it is at any other time.  I would like to get to the
restaurant around 4:30 pm. The restaurant is close to the Trolley Station so
you don't need to worry about driving or parking.

 

If we have around 30 people who want to attend we will have a room with a TV
to ourselves. If we have around 50 people we will be in the bar area. I
would love to see over 50 people there so we can show the East County that
The Democrats are here and we are going to STAY!! I have set it up with the
restaurant so all who attend will be responsible for their own bill. This
means that each person attending will pay for what they order. 

 

Please RSVP to me ASAP, so I can let the restaurant know how many people
will be attending. Either call me or send an email.
