[ECDC Announce] Volunteers Need in City of El Cajon

We need residences of the City of El Cajon to volunteer to gather signatures of two petitions. One is for term limits for the El Cajon City Council and the other is for campaign contribution limits for the City of El Cajon offices.

The volunteers have to be residence of the City of El Cajon. NOT in the incorporated areas. If you have a question if you are in the city of incorporated areas just ask me, I have a city map and can check you address. (If you get a sewer bill fro El Cajon, you live in the limits.)

We are looking for about 45 to 50 volunteers as this will make it easier on everyone. with this many volunteers each person would only have to collect around 100 signatures. We only have until May 16th so the sooner we start the better. I will be taking mine with me when ever I am about town. I will also be setting up a table a Parkway Plaza on March 31, April 1 & 2. If you would like to volunteer for working the table for a couple of hours, please give me , Kristy, a call.

WHAT WE NEED    
  
For these to appear on the ballot, we need at least 3600 VALID signatures of registered voters who live within the El Cajon City limits.
Note: Just because you have an El Cajon address, does not mean you live in El Cajon. (If you get a sewer bill fro El Cajon, you live in the limits.)

WHAT HAPPENS:

If we get the required signatures by May 16th, the these initiatives will appear on the November, 2008 ballot. BY SIGNING THE PETITION, THE INITIATIVES WILL ON THE BALLOT. It does not determine your ultimate vote on these issues.    

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Signers must be El Cajon Residents.
2. Circulators must e El Cajon residents. Circulators must be present when the signatures are obtained.
3. Call Kristy Mundt at 619-933-1526 if you have any questions or need more petitions.
4.  If you are a resident of El Cajon but you are not yet registered to vote, just call Kristy, and she will send you a form.
5  If you have a small number of petitions completed, please mail  petitions to : PETITIONS, P.O. BOX 252, EL CAJON, CA 92022-0252
6. If you have a large amount of petitions completed, Please call Kristy for Pick-up.
