[ECDC Announce] Voter Registration at Parkway Plaza

I wanted all of you to know we had a very successful day at Parkway Plaza yesterday, for the last day to register for the June 3rd Primary.

I want to extend a special thank you for Chris Stone and Bonnie Rawson for their help. They both went the extra mile to make the day a success.

We were able to register 72 new voter in just one day. When we did this in February we registered 400 people, but we did that in 9 days. So this time was much more productive. 

Of those 72 voters, 51 choose to become Democrats, 14 choose Decline to State and only 7 choose to become Republicans.

I hope in the future we can do this at Parkway Plaza on a regular base's. If you ever get a chance to help register people to vote you will have to do it again and again. It is a great way to have informative conversation with many people in just a couple of hours of your time. 

I also want to tell you about one young girl who came up to the table and wanted to register as a Republican. Between Bonnie and I we were able to get her to register as a Decline to State. Her friend who was with her changed from a Decline to State to Democrat. This is what we can do if we just get to talk to them about what is important to all of us. Most people just need to be better informed. To many people do not think for themselves. They just listen to the stuff they are being feed from most of the News stations in this country. If we can talk to them one on one we can make them think.
